Line Gradienting
"How do I make images look really fancy with different gradients?", you're answer is below.
Click for Full image. This is what my gradienting line image looked like after I gradiented the lines. CLICK First open an image. Preferrably a manga scanned from a manga volumes. Ok, so open the image file (CTRL+O) or File >> Open) and choose the image to open. CLICK Now we have to open the channels box. Open the Channels box(Window >> Channels) or just open the Layers box and on the top of the box, Channels is beside Layers. Or simply press F7. Now open the channels box shown on the image given(click before) if you haven't already.
From the Channels box, on the very bottom of it, click on the first tool.(The dotted circles-which is to select the lines)
CLICK now this is what it should look like(Click on the picture "CLICK"). Your image should have selected the outside borders of your image. ;D
CLICK Now you need to select the "lines" instead of the opposite selected. So press Shift+Ctrnl+I or go to Select >>Inverse from the Navigation.
CLICK Now your image should look like this. (the lines are selected[darkest colours])
CLICK From the Adobe Photoshop toolbar, choose gradients if you haven't already.
(Go to the gradients page to download it.) And choose your gradients from the top of the navigation. The small arrow beside the gradients button will allow you to choose your gradient.(press the gradient button before you do that)
CLICK And now, ladies(lady)/gentlemen(gentleman), could we please have a drumroll...? drumrolll........ brbrbrbr.....This is what it will look like when you are dragging with the gradient tool. After that, you can "undo" the gradient if you aren't satisfied with it. (CTRL+Z or Edit >> Undo). Then Deselect the lines when you have the image on the top of this page(not the layout, the gradiented finished...image) by pressing CTRL+D to deselect.
Hoped you liked the tutorial =D And remember to download some awesome tutorials HERE.
