Image Feathering
Feathering is very cool, it's like gradienting/blending a picture, but through the whole outside frame, which can be VERY useful.
Choose a picture you want to work with.
using one of the select tools on the tool bar, select a part of the picture you would like to keep most.
After step 2-selecting a part of the image-, right click on the picture and click "select inverse"
it should look like this.
Right click and click on "Feather..."
Then press "Delete/Backspace" *the button you press to delete a letter when you are typing* to get the feather effect. After doing so, right click again and press "Deselect" -shown on the image given-.
