Image Extracting
This tutorial teaches you two ways to extract images and to it's best! Mostly to make PNGs or just for your own content.CLICK Open your image file that you want to extract and select all(Ctrl+A) and copy it(CTRL+C). Then create a new file(CTRL+N)that's transparent(shown on the image), then paste it (CTRL+V)
CLICK Now that you have your image, select the magic wand tool shown (CLICK).
CLICK Now click on the area you want to select to delete and make it transparent. But notice if you press the backspace or delete, part of the image will be deleted. This only happens depending on the colour contrast of the image. In this case, the character's white collar is a similar colour to the background image colour. Now that's a problem.
CLICK So now we need to select the magnifying tool to make sure the colour is perfect when you lasso it. And choose a percentage amount to change it to when you click on the image with your magnifying tool to make it bigger so you can see the lines. The percentage rate is shown on the Navigator(Windows >> Navigator)
CLICK Choose the magnetic lasso tool so it will "magnetically" select the similar colours.
CLICK Now choose the area on the image that you only need to delete to extract it. In other words, you don't have to lassoo your way out of the whole white background. Just lassoo the area where the colour is similar so you can extract the other parts in one jift.
CLICK Select the area where the colour is similar and lassoo away! (carefully)
CLICK Now this is what it will look like as long as you have your lasso in a polygon(a shape that has no open lines. Otherwords, you must end connected with the beginning of where you started to lassoo).
CLICK Now minimize it with the Nagivator or the magnifying glass(but choose the minimizing magnefier). And choose the magic wand tool again to select the rest of the unwanted area. In my case, I want the white background to go byebye.
CLICK(my image) And select other areas where you don't want the area to be shown. Remember to use the MAGNETIC magnefying tool and the MAGIC WAND tool! =D.
