Buttonizing
Here is an example of how to make a button out of scrap. This one features futuristic effects, other known as "gradienting".
Choose the paint tool and open a fairly buttonize-ish size new file. And paint it black.
Now choose the rectagular shape and change the colour to white. Then draw a rectangle ontop of the black background to create a thick black outline effect.
On the left hand of your Adobe Photoshop, you should see those boxes. If you do not have the Layers box window, then from the top navigation of photoshop, click on Window >> Layers and the box will appear if not already.
On the bottom of the layers box window, you will see an "f" like the image shown. Then click on Blending Options...
After you click on the Blending Options..., a bix box will appear. It will say Layer Style. Underneath the "Styles" heading, select(click) on the Bevel and Emboss, Gradient Overlay(the default overlay is black-white) and Stroke.
Choosing the Bevel and Emboss will make the button stand out more, choosing the grandient overlay is to make the button also stand out more with a gradient effect, looking futuristic. Then in the image shown, you should choose your outline colour. This is to permanently make the outline stand out more. In this case, I chose black; you can choose which ever colour you desire.
PRESS "OK" to submit your options.
This is what my buttons looks like. ;D Hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Never hesitate to contact me for any errors or questions!
